Last week we opened our doors to our brand new clinic in Chorlton, and Helena demoed one of our most transformative treatments – the Nefertiti Lift.
Named after Queen Nefertiti – famed for her defined jaw and sculpted neck, the Nefertiti Lift uses Wrinkle Relaxing Injections (‘Botox’) to the jawline and neck that lifts and tightens the skin around the area to provide a natural refreshed and more youthful look without the need for surgery.
As we get older, the muscles around the jaw can get quite enlarged and muscles around our chin can drag downwards causing the appearance of jowls and marionette lines around the mouth, the platysmal bands in the neck become overactive and more prominent. By relaxing this area with Wrinkle Relaxing Injections, it creates an upward pull that gives a lifted and tighter look to the jaw, and softens the visibility of neck banding that can so often be a telltale sign of ageing.
The Nefertiti lift is a very quick procedure and you can expect to see the full effects of the treatment in 10-14 days, but can notice considerable results in as little as four days, and depending on the client can last 3-6 months. You will need to top up the treatment after this time to maintain the desired effect.
There is no downtime with this treatment and little in the way of aftercare, although we do advise no excessive sweating for 24 hours after the procedure (no sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms, extremely hot baths/showers, cardio exercise etc…)
There is little to no pain felt by the injections as a very fine needle is used, although it can be a little bit more tender on the chin. There are less nerve endings on the neck so these injections are pretty painless, although the expression that you have to pull to make the platysmal bands prominent for the purpose of injecting can cause a little discomfort, as it’s not usually an expression that you would pull.
