Sclerotherapy is a very simple and extremely effective treatment for thread veins that is comfortable and highly targeted.
What is Sclerotherapy?
Sclerotherapy treatment is used to reduce and remove the unsightly small veins that can appear on the legs.
These veins are most commonly known as thread veins and often appear just beneath the skin.
They usually look like red squiggly lines and are sometimes referred to as broken veins or spider veins.
Thread veins are highly common, with approximately 20% of people in their 20s having them and 50% of people in their 40s.

How does sclerotherapy work?
During sclerotherapy treatment, a drug called a sclerosant is injected directly into the specific veins. This causes damage to the veins which tells the body to start its natural healing response - which leads to the veins fading away altogether over time.
A very fine needle is used to inject the solution, and only the very tip of the needle is used, so sclerotherapy is a very comfortable treatment.
