Is a Jawline or Chin filler right for me?
Jawline and chin fillers have recently become really popular and are fast becoming one of the most sought after aesthetics treatments at SkinHD. If you’re looking to improve the contours of your lower face, or if you have a ‘weaker’ chin or softening of the jawline, Volux® can significantly redefine the jawline and add volume to the chin to sculpt this area and give your face a better balance.
How long do the results last?
This procedure can give near instant results and lasts an amazing 18-24 months, due to it’s high density hyaluronic acid (HA) base. HA is a naturally occurring substance found within the body that attracts its own weight in water to the surface of the skin, helping to plump and hydrate the area which improves the texture of the skin as well as providing a firm definition to the area.
Why is it better than other treatments for the lower face?
Volux® has the highest concentration of HA and so provides more projection and more contouring for the jawline and chin than any other treatment.
It has a higher density gel-like texture that is easy to mould and stays in place to achieve a wonderful sharpness and definition.
This treatment is preferred by clients who want dramatic results without the need for invasive surgical procedures and the associated risks of pain and recovery time. It’s the perfect choice for fast results and without the need for multiple visits to the clinic.

What happens during a treatment?
Before your treatment, we will invite you in for a free consultation to discuss if the treatment is suitable for you, and if we can achieve the results you are looking for with this treatment.
We can then either carry out the treatment in the same appointment, or if you’d rather book in for a separate appointment then that is absolutely fine!
We will apply a numbing cream to the area which contains lidocaine. The product itself also contains lidocaine and is injected with a hypodermic needle to ensure minimum discomfort.
The treatment time usually lasts between 15-25 minutes.
You will see some immediate signs of improvement, but some swelling and bruising may also be apparent. This will subside within a couple of days and best results of the treatment will be seen within a couple of weeks of the treatment, after the product has fully settled and integrated.
What is the aftercare advice?
- Immediately after the treatment, avoid touching the area or applying make up for at least 2 hours, to let the skin form a protective barrier over the injection site and avoid infection.
- Avoid heavy exercise and extreme heat for at least 48 hours after the treatment (saunas/steam room/sunbed etc)
- Avoid dental procedures or making exaggerated mouth movements for 2 weeks after the treatment
- It is normal to feel lumps or areas that are more firm than others in the first couple of weeks after treatment. This will settle!
- Apply an ice pack to help with any swelling or discomfort, but avoid applying too much pressure.
