How does it work?
Microneedling works by penetrating the deeper layers of skin, causing micro-canals. These are a type of micro injury. By causing an inflammatory response, micro injuries stimulate the skin’s natural healing process.
The LABpen is designed to work alongside the LABthetic’s active serums:
- Pro-micro HYDRA contains Hyaluronic Acid and B vitamins
- Pro-micro ANTIOXIDANT uses vitamin C
By combining these two steps, the skin fibroblast are activated – creating new collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin. Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid and Elastin make up the structure of the skin. In addition, they provides the skin with hydration and plumpness.
Microneedling can be performed on both the face and body. SkinHD’s Heather has actually been using the LABpen to reduce the appearance of stretch marks!
How long do the results of Microneedling last?
The microneedling healing process can be stimulated for up to 2 years. However, as results vary person to person – we recommend maintenance sessions every 3-6 months for the best results.

Before your treatment, we will invite you for a free consultation to discuss if the treatment is suitable for you, and if we can achieve the results you are looking for with this treatment.
We offer our consultation online (Via Zoom or Whatsapp Video). We can also do face to face consultations, we would require a £30 deposit which will either be deducted from your treatment price or refunded.
