SkinHD has been based in Chorlton since 2017 - positioned where Buckingham Road, Manchester Road and Clarendon Road West meet. We're the dark green shop situated in between A-Z Beauty, and The Tanning Lounge (just for reference.)
Over the years, we have been able to explore the different attractions Chorlton has to offer. Undeniably, there are so many great food spots, shops and festivals which we thought had earned some recognition.
We'll start of with the most important thing - Food and Drinks!
Whether it's Jerk Junction - my go to spot for hot food on a cold day or Globe, where we went for our work Christmas Do, there's no hiding Chorlton has a wide range of awesome restaurants/cafes to choose from. We are a big fan of Unicorn, as Helena (SkinHD Owner) is a vegan. There's also Barbakan Deli, and First Bite Cafe which are easy eats in between clients.
Mary and Archie is our favourite place to go for team lunches, they have options for everyone plus they're dog friendly! I would also like to give Peck and Yard an honourable mention. I have been going there since they opened; the service and food is always brilliant.
Chorlton plays host to everything you might need. Banks, Butchers, Beauty - you name it, Chorlton probably has it! When we're in need of something at SkinHD, our first trip is to One Stop Bargains on Manchester Road. 9 times out of 10, you'll find what you need there!
Again, Unicorn also has a nice selection of Vegan/Cruelty Free cleaning products that we like to use. Helena loves gift shopping at Cocoa Tree, an artisan chocolate shop. Apart from being delicious, all their chocolates are:
- Made with 100% natural ingredients
- Fair Trade
- Gluten Free
Check out their Instagram ( featured below ) for all their amazing creations!
I can't write a blog without acknowledging the fantastic festivals that have been taking place here for years.
- Chorlton Books Festival
- Chorlton Arts Festival
- Chorlton Beer Festival
- and Chorlton Open Gardens are all massive calendar events and attract people from all over to attend.
Unfortunately, due to the current climate, I don't believe any of the festivals are actually taking place this year. With luck, we hope to see them return in the near future!
As you can see, there are many reasons why we LOVE Chorlton here at SkinHD.
We would like to hear what you guys love about Chorlton, and if there's anywhere you think deserves a shout out in our blog!
